About Me

Kayla Berry, LMT

I graduated from the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage's 600-hour program, nationally accredited by NACCAS. My education was extremely well-rounded, and as such I aim to incorporate the entire body, mind, and spirit into healing. Some massage techniques I call on during my sessions are Swedish, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, Deep Tissue, and Aromatherapy.

Prior to becoming a Massage Therapist, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in China. It was in China that I really got into massage as a receiver of massage, and through practicing on my fellow volunteers. Chinese foot and scalp massages cannot be topped! Upon returning to the United States, I decided to look into massage schools in my area while I was applying to various government jobs. I haven't looked back since, and I can honestly say I LOVE MY JOB! One day I hope to return to China to formally study tuī ná 推拿 and reflexology. In my free time and before massage sessions, I like to practice Qi Gong/Tai Chi.
